Multilingual Versions of Tokyo’s White Paper on Urban Development

City View Tokyo, a white paper on the current situation of and future vision for Tokyo’s urban development, is now available in eight languages on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government website.
The Japanese and English language versions of this white paper were released on April 5, and it has now been translated into six other languages so that even more people can learn about Tokyo’s urban development.

Main features

  • Looks at Tokyo from various angles such as its urban functions, industry, culture, environment, life, and international city rankings.
  • Rich use of visuals centering on maps of Tokyo and other graphics such as photos, charts, and a modern map superposed on a map of the feudal Edo period.
  • Interviews with urban development experts, as well as a musician, artist, and farmer, representing the diversity of Tokyo’s residents.
