東京都太田記念館寮生との懇談
Governor speaks with residents of Ota Kinenkan dormitory
平成26（2014）年6月5日（木曜）、東京都太田記念館を訪問し、中華人民共和国駐日本国大使館韓志強公使、白剛公使参事官とともに、中国からの留学生の寮生と懇談しました。
知事は、寮生に向けて「ここは、日中友好のために使ってもらいたいということでできたので、是非皆さん東京で素晴らしい留学生生活をおくるため頑張ってください」と話しました。
東京都太田記念館は、中国の人々と親交の深かった故太田宇之助氏から、日中友好に役立ててもらいたいと寄贈された土地に、東京都が平成2（1990）年に建設した北京市からの留学生の宿舎です。現在は、アジア大都市ネットワーク加盟都市からの留学生も受け入れています。
On June 5, Governor Masuzoe visited Ota Kinenkan and, along with Minister Han Zhiqiang and Minister-Counselor Bai Gang from the Chinese Embassy in Japan, spoke with Chinese students staying in the metropolitan dormitory. The governor told the students that “This dormitory was established to further the friendly ties between Japan and China. I hope you will study hard and enjoy your days in Tokyo.”
Ota Kinenkan was built by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 1990 to serve as a boardinghouse for students from Beijing. It stands on land donated by the late Unosuke Ota, who had close ties with the Chinese people, with his request that the property be used to deepen Japan-China friendship. Currently, the dormitory also accommodates students from the member cities of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (ANMC21).
