“Tokyo Great Garden Autumn Campaign” to be launched

Tokyo Metropolitan Government will be holding the “Tokyo Great Garden Autumn Campaign” before and after “Great Garden Day” on 28 November. Various events will be held to showcase the charms of municipal, national and private Japanese gardens within Tokyo. Participants of all backgrounds will be able to enjoy the gardens in a relaxed manner, from those who are unfamiliar with gardens to enthusiasts. Please do come along to see these lovely gardens.

1.Opening period

16 November (Sat) to 8 December (Sun) 2019

29 gardens within Tokyo
(Hamarikyu Gardens, Kyu Shiba Rikyu Garden, Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens, Rikugien Gardens, Kyu Iwasaki-tei Gardens, Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens, Kiyosumi Gardens, Kyu Furukawa Gardens, Tonogayato Gardens, Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo National Museum, Japanese Garden at Showa Kinen Park, Higo Hosokawa Garden, Asakura Museum of Sculpture Taito, Kyu Yasuda Gardens, Ikedayama Park, Toshima City Mejiro Garden, Yamamoto-tei, Yakushi-Ike Park, Happo-en, Nezu Museum, Roppongi Hills Mori Garden, Hotel Chizanso Tokyo, the Former Kusuo Yasuda Residence Garden, Koishikawa Botanical Garden, Suikeien Garden, and Keio Mogusaen)

3.Events

Guided tours of the gardens, musical performances, illuminations of the gardens, tea ceremony experiences etc.
