Festival to be held to commemorate one year since the opening of Toyosu Market

October 11 marks the one year anniversary of Toyosu Market’s opening. To commemorate this, the Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market will hold a festival to foster goodwill among local people and Tokyo residents, and to deepen their relations with people affiliated with the market.

The festival will be held at Toyosu Market and URBAN DOCK LaLaport TOYOSU. Sakana-kun will be on stage, while organizations associated with the market will prepare an entertainment program including events, market stalls etc. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

1.Toyosu Market Site

October 5 (Sat) 2019 from 8:30AM to 3:30PM

Toyosu Market Block 6 open space and elsewhere

• 1 minute walk from Shijo-mae station on the Yurikamome line
• From JR Shimbashi Station or Toyocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, get the Toei bus for “Toyosu Market” and alight at “Toyosu Market”

※ Toyosu Market does not have car parking facilities for visitors, so please come using public transport.

• Stalls selling fruits, vegetables and fresh fish from the market
• An exclusive menu featuring ingredients from the market
• Sakana-kun on stage, a seminar on judging fruit and vegetables, performances by local organizations
• Parent-child fish cooking classes

2.URBAN DOCK LaLaport TOYOSU Site

October 5 (Sat) and 6 (Sun) 2019 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM

(2) Event location

URBAN DOCK LaLaport TOYOSU - event space in front of Afternoon Tea Living, 1F

• via the 2nd exit of Toyosu Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho line
• 5 minute walk from the north gate of Toyosu station on the Yurikamome line
• From JR Tokyo station, Kinshicho station, or Monzen-nakacho station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai line/Toei Oedo line, get a Toei bus to Toyosu station

• A panel display relating to Toyosu Market, the workings of the market etc.
• Interactive events involving fruits, vegetables and fish

3.Combined event -- “Toyosu Market One Year Anniversary Week”

With the support of the Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market Toyosu Market Association and the Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market Food and Drink Association, the one year anniversary week at Toyosu Market will be celebrated from October 5 (Sat) to October 12 (Sat), excluding October 6 and 9 when the market is closed. Visitors will be able to enjoy special deals on food/drink and shopping at certain stores. We look forward to you coming along.
