“Kick Off in Tokyo!” Travel Guide for Rugby Fans produced with information on the Rugby World CupTM Japan 2019 and nearby tourist attractions!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has used the Rugby World CupTM Japan 2019 as an opportunity to attempt to further increase the number of foreign visitors it receives through a collaboration of the tournament’s 12 host cities to promote round trips to Tokyo and throughout Japan.
We are pleased to announce that we have produced a multilingual tourist guidebook that includes tournament information such as match schedules, and suggests tourist attractions which visitors can enjoy before and after matches.

  • Tourist attractions around the Tokyo Stadium
  • Tourist attractions in Tokyo classified by type
  • An introduction to the match venues in host cities, nearby tourist attractions, etc.

3 languages (Japanese, English, French)

3. Copies published

A total of 200,000 copies in the 3 languages (A5 size)
Japanese – around 117,000 copies
English – around 60,000 copies
French – around 23,000 copies

2. Distribution

1. Distribution start date

From July 30 (Tuesday) (only in Japanese)
(English and French versions to be distributed sequentially in August)

Tokyo Stadium, Fanzones, Tokyo Tourist Information Center, host cities etc.
