The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), the seven prefectures of the Kyushu (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima), the Kyushu Tourism Promotion Organization, and air and railway operators have jointly established the “Tokyo and Kyushu Council to Attract More Foreign Travelers”, so that foreign independent travelers visiting Tokyo can easily visit the Kyushu. Promotional activities highlighting the features of both Tokyo and the Kyushu are underway.
To facilitate the campaign, fam trips are being held again this year for overseas media and others on sightseeing routes linking Tokyo and sites in Kyushu.

Foreign media, popular travel bloggers, and others have been invited to experience sightseeing routes recommended in each of the Kyushu prefectures for foreign independent travelers visiting Tokyo. The sightseeing routes and spots as seen from a foreign perspective and accounts of their experiences will be made available onand outlets of the invited media.
So foreign independent travelers visiting Tokyo will also visit the Kyushu, we are implementing a project to encourage more travelers to visit both Tokyo and the Kyushu by setting up sightseeing routes that start from Tokyo, and by widely disseminating overseas a fresh appeal to Japanese travel.
