Event Details

Main Venue (Grand Hall)

There will be many booths in the four categories of “i (clothing),” “shoku (food),” “ju (building),” and “kou (manufacturing),” where visitors will be able to not only see and buy traditional crafts but also observe craftsmen at work and try their hand at various activities.

  • i (clothing)
    Kimono garment making, women’s and men’s wear, kimono dressing, embroidery, jewelry making, flower arrangement, etc.

  • shoku (food)
    Japanese cuisine

  • ju (building)
    Wooden house building, plastering, house painting, sheet metal work, interior finishing, etc.

  • kou (manufacturing)
    Robots, metal working, etc.

Thematic Displays and Stage Events (Grand Hall)

A variety of activities by artisans will be brought together to help visitors better understand craftsmanship in a broad range of fields. These include the display of a wooden Japanese teahouse assembled on site in the traditional manner that uses no nails or adhesives and on-stage demonstrations of futon making and ice sculpting.

ALL JAPAN Zone (Special Hall)

As part of the ALL JAPAN & TOKYO Project, artisans and others from around Japan will display, demonstrate, and sell their fine products. There will also be areas set aside for visitors to try their hand at some of those crafts.
