Launch of free Wi-Fi services

A free Wi-Fi service that allows Internet connection at various areas with just one registration procedure has been launched at 35 metropolitan facilities to enhance convenience for foreign visitors and facility users.

(1) One registration procedure to use Wi-Fi services available at 138,000 locations in Japan

With an app

Users can access the Internet at a broad range of hot spots by downloading and using the “Japan Connected-free Wi-Fi” app operated by the service provider.

(2) In the event of a disaster

Internet access is possible without registration. After connection, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Disaster Prevention Website will be displayed.
