January 27, 2015

In the Safe Cities Index 2015 report issued by the Economist Intelligence Unit, the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, which is affiliated with the British financial publication The Economist, Tokyo was rated the safest city in the world, placing number one overall in the ranking. With the announcement, an interview with Governor Masuzoe was posted on the company's website.

The Safe Cities Index 2015 compares the level of safety of the world's major cities, rating cities in four categories, digital security, health security, infrastructure safety, and personal safety, publishing the results as a report.
