City-Tech.Tokyo

On Monday, February 27 and Tuesday, February 28, Governor Koike attended City-Tech.Tokyo, an event aiming to realize sustainable societies through open innovation with startups, held at Tokyo International Forum. In her remarks, the governor said, “The last two days were full of passionate, stimulating discussions on the event's themes of infrastructure, the environment, lifestyle, and culture. With 328 startups and 36 cities participating as booth exhibitors, I hope that the opportunities to connect with people and ideas provided by this event will be fruitful and contribute to open innovation. And, I hope that everyone who participated in the event will continue to value the experiences they had here, and go on to take on new challenges and bring about innovation. The next City-Tech.Tokyo is scheduled to be held in May 2024 in Tokyo’s Bay Area. Let us keep working together to create a sustainable future.”
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is promoting the Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo (SusHi Tech Tokyo) concept with the aim to generate sustainable new values through the use of advanced technology. As the first phase of the “SusHi Tech Tokyo” project, the TMG hosted City-Tech.Tokyo and the Global City Network for Sustainability (G-NETS) Leaders Summit.
