駐日米国大使が知事を訪問
U.S. ambassador to Japan visits the governor
平成26（2014）年12月16日（火）、都庁を訪れたキャロライン・ケネディ駐日米国大使と面会しました。
会談では、1912年の東京市からワシントンＤＣへの桜の贈呈に対し、100年後の2012年に米国から日本へハナミズキが贈呈された都と米国の相互交流の歴史や、来年提携55周年を迎える都とニューヨーク市の姉妹都市関係、2020年オリンピック・パラリンピック東京大会の協力等について意見交換を行いました。
On Tuesday, December 16, H.E. Ms. Caroline Kennedy, U.S. Ambassador to Japan paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.
At the meeting, topics such as the history of reciprocal exchange between Tokyo and the United States, including the gift of cherry blossom trees in 1912 to Washington D.C. by the then City of Tokyo, and 100 years later, the gift of dogwood trees to Tokyo by the United States in 2012, the 55th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Tokyo and New York City which will be celebrated next year, and support for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games were discussed.
