英国政府文化・メディア・スポーツ大臣が知事を訪問
British Principal Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport visits the governor
平成26（2014）年11月18日（火曜）、都庁を訪れたサジード・ジャビッド英国政府文化・メディア・スポーツ大臣と面会しました。
知事は、「先月、ロンドンで市長さんとお会いし、競技施設も見させていただいて、大変参考になりました。2020年には、スポーツだけではなくて文化の面でも、日本から文化の発信をしたいと思っています。私たちもアーツカウンシルを持っており、これからアーツカウンシルイングランドとのとの協力関係を進めたいと思いますので、是非大臣のご支援をお願いしたい」と話しました。
On Tuesday, November 18, Mr. Sajid Javid, Principal Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.
Speaking to the culture secretary, the governor said, “Last month, I traveled to London where I met with Mayor Boris Johnson and was shown several London 2012 venues, which was very helpful. When Tokyo hosts the Games in 2020, I not only want to focus on sports, but also culture, and show Japan’s culture to the world. Tokyo also has an arts council, and I hope to continue developing the cooperative relationship with the Arts Council England. Your support in this area would be greatly appreciated.”
