ラテンアメリカ・カリブ諸国駐日大使会（GRULAC）一行が知事を訪問
Ambassadors from the Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries visit the governor
平成26（2014）年5月30日（金曜）、都庁を訪れたラテンアメリカ・カリブ諸国駐日大使会（GRULAC）一行と面会しました。
知事は、「都庁においでいただきまして心から感謝申し上げます。大変光栄です」と歓迎し、「東京で2020年には、オリンピック・パラリンピックが開かれます。2年後には、リオデジャネイロで大会が開かれますが、私は閉会式にてオリンピックの旗を引き継ぎます。リオの市長さんから旗を確実に受け取り、そして世界最高の東京大会にしたいと思っています」と話しました。
なお、GRULAC（Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries）とは、ラテンアメリカ・カリブ海地域で国連に加盟する33カ国を指し、そのうち東京に大使館がある22カ国からなる「大使会」は、親睦を深めるための懇談会や、日本を深く知るための視察を実施しています。
On Friday, May 30, ambassadors from the Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC) paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.
The governor welcomed the ambassadors, saying, “Thank you very much for coming to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office. I am so honored to have you here.”
During the meeting, he said, “Tokyo will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020. Rio de Janeiro will be hosting the Summer Games in two years, and I will be there at the closing ceremony to accept the Olympic flag from the mayor of Rio. I will firmly take on the responsibility to make the Tokyo Games the best ever.”
The GRULAC consists of 33 Latin American and Caribbean countries that are members of the United Nations. The ambassadors of the 22 countries that have embassies in Tokyo gather to deepen friendship and engage in study tours to learn more about Japan.
