Tokyo Elected the Best City in the World for Second Consecutive Year
by Readers of US-based Condé Nast Traveler in annual Readers' Choice Awards
Tokyo was once again elected Number 1 in the Best Cities in the World category of Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards. The popular US-based magazine for discerning travelers featured Tokyo at the top of their list, which ranks cities outside of the United States.
The city's top ranking may be attributed to a number of initiatives, including tourism promotion programs and
enhanced support for travelers visiting Tokyo, which were achieved through cooperative efforts between the
government and the private sector.
Tokyo is working to become the world's leading tourist destination, further developing its appeal as a city where tradition and innovation meet.
