Train Schedules During the New Year Holiday
Special timetables will be in operation on Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation train services during the New Year holiday and on some other days in December, including an all-night service on Toei Subway trains on New Year's Eve. Please note which timetables trains will be running on during the holiday.
1. All-night service on New Year's Eve (Toei Subway)
(1) Asakusa Line
Trains will serve the whole line and run every 20-40 minutes.
(2) Mita Line
Trains will serve the whole line and run every 30-60 minutes.
(3) Shinjuku Line
Trains will serve the whole line and run every 30-40 minutes. Trains connecting to the Keio Line will also run.
(4) Oedo Line
Trains will serve the whole line and run every 30-40 minutes.
2. Special late night trains on New Year's Eve (Nippori-Toneri Liner)
Four special late night trains will run in each direction. The last train bound for Nippori Station will run 35 minutes later than usual, and the last train for Minumadai-shinsuikoen Station will run 38 minutes later.
3. Special train on the Shinjuku Line bound for Takaosanguchi Station
Early in the morning of January 1, a special train will travel to Mt. Takao to arrive in time to see the first sunrise of the year. The train will depart from Motoyawata Station and run on the Shinjuku Line and then along the Keio Line to reach Takaosanguchi Station. It will stop at all stations on the Shinjuku Line and at Keio Line stations normally served by express trains.

Motoyawata (1:58) ⇒ Morishita (2:20) ⇒ Bakuroyokoyama (2:23) ⇒ Jimbocho (2:28) ⇒ Shinjuku (2:40) ⇒ Takaosanguchi (arrive at 3:35 a.m.)
4. Additional service
To ease congestion and prevent delays, the number of late night trains will be increased as follows:
(1) Shinjuku Line
One train will be added between 11 p.m. and 12 p.m. on December 16 (Friday), and December 22 (Thursday).
(2) Oedo Line
Two trains will be added between 10 p.m. and 12 p.m. on December 16 (Friday) and
December 22 (Thursday), departing from Kiyosumishirakawa Station and traveling via
Daimon Station and Roppongi Station bound for Hikarigaoka Station.
*Please note that there will be some changes to the timetable on those days.
5. Train timetable during the New Year holiday
(1) Toei Subway and Nippori-Toneri Liner
Trains will run on the Saturday and holiday timetable from December 30 (Friday) to January 3 (Tuesday).
(2) Toden Arakawa Line
Trains will run on the holiday timetable from December 29 (Thursday) to January 3 (Tuesday).
