Message of condolence sent to the Governor of Jakarta
The following message of condolence was sent by Governor Masuzoe to Governor of Jakarta Capital City, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.

Dear Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama,
I was deeply shocked by the tragic news from Jakarta. Such acts of terrorism are impermissible.
As the leader of Tokyo, a friendship city of Jakarta, and on behalf of the citizens of Tokyo, I pray for all the victims and express my sincere condolences to their families. Tokyo stands with Jakarta.
