Hosting of the “Asia Junior Sports Exchange Games 2007 - Badminton”

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Badminton Association will be holding the Asia Junior Sports Exchange Games 2007 - Badminton, a sport for which there are numerous competitors in Asia. The purpose of the games is to boost the athletic capabilities of Asian youth and contribute to the development of the next generation through the promotion of sports.

Junior badminton players, who have been selected from 12 cities in Asia, will give their all in exchange matches to take place at Komazawa Olympic Park General Playground Gymnasium.

1. Participating cities (tentative)

Bangkok, Delhi, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Macao, Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo (12 Asian cities)

2. Matches

(1) Time and date

9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, August 27 and Tuesday, August 28 (tentative)

(2) Place

Komazawa Olympic Park General Playground Gymnasium

(3) Other events related to the games (tentative)

Badminton clinics, cheerleading performance (inside the gymnasium), Heaven Artists (licensed street performers), open-air stalls with Asian foods (central square in front of gymnasium)
