Tokyo International Anime Fair

The Tokyo International Anime Fair, which has been held annually since 2002, enjoys worldwide popularity and plays a vital role in the promotion and development of Japanese animation.

Held at the end of March every year, this is one of the largest anime trade fairs in the world, and the comprehensive event attracts in the neighborhood of 100,000 visitors.

The trade fair allows both domestic and overseas exhibitors and buyers to engage in business talks; symposiums offer the latest information on business; imaginative works by local and foreign creators vie for recognition in the Tokyo Anime Award Competition; and the Creator’s World is a support program aimed at helping young, talented creators learn about business. In addition, a wide range of events have been prepared for the enjoyment of visitors of all ages. The fair is the perfect opportunity for anime fans from Japan and the rest of the world to learn more about the fantastic world of Japanese animation.
