Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region visits the governor
On Wednesday, May 18, Minister-President Rudi Vervoort of the Brussels-Capital Region met with the governor. Minister-President Vervoort was in Tokyo at this time for the Brussels Flower Carpet events held at the Roppongi Hills Arena and Tokyo Skytree Town in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Belgium.
The governor spoke of his visits to Belgium in the past and its lovely landscape, welcomed the Brussels Flower Carpet showings, and expressed his wish that top athletes and many visitors from Belgium and Brussels come to Tokyo for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
