General Advisor of the Beijing Municipal Government visits the governor
On Thursday, July 23, Ms. Lu Xiwen, General Advisor of the Beijing Municipal Government, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.
At the meeting, the governor said, “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the building of the Ota Kinenkan, which is symbolic of the friendship between Tokyo and Beijing. I look forward to holding events to celebrate this milestone, and having this symbol further promote friendly ties between Japan and China. With private companies and local governments heading for more exchange with China, Tokyo will take the lead in working to improve relations with cities, including Beijing. I am certain that over the long term this type of exchange will build an excellent Japan-China relationship.”
