Ambassador of the Republic of Korea visits the governor
On Thursday, May 22, H.E. Mr. Lee Byung-kee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.
The governor, who visited the consular affairs department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea earlier this month to lay flowers in memory of the victims of the recent ferry accident, again offered his condolences at the beginning of the meeting. The ambassador expressed his gratitude.
During the meeting, Governor Masuzoe said, "I hope to actively promote city-to-city diplomacy between Seoul and Tokyo, which have been friendship cities since 1988."
